Piano guild meeting, Nassau chapter, at Frank and Camille Sept. 13. Meeting called to order at 7;10 by Mike Slavin. Ten members were present. Mike gave us an update on the closure of the chapter's bank accounts by the bank and subsequent assignment of our funds to the State of New York. He said all will be corrected and we will receive our money back.

Jerry Gravina presented the technical. He demonstrated the process of installing a dolly on an upright piano by yourself.The dolly he used was very stable and safe to use. Don't use cheap and small dollies. It is very dangerous. Jerry had selected members to install the dolly on a piano. The dolly was screwed up through the bottom using special 90 degree screw gun adapter. SAFTEY FIRST!- The dolly must be screwed to the piano . If you have the right tools the job can be done by one experienced tech in 20-30 minutes.The profit margin is very good and worth the install. You had to be present for the demo to see the clarity of the install. The meeting was adjourned at 8;15.
