The General Meeting

The general meeting for this month will be held on Tuesday, November 9 starting at 7 p.m.

This month's technical speaker will be Keith Bowman, RPT, Northeast Regional Vice President of the Piano Technicians Guild. His class is titled "How to Make an Upright Action Model from Scratch".

The Hailun Piano factory has been making our upright action models for a number of years. Due to changes in factories and management, it became necessary to re-train the workers to ensure compliance with our PTG standards. In May 2019, I went to the Hailun Piano Factory with Mike Carraher, RPT. We spent two weeks there assembling a master reference model from raw materials, hardware and pre-finished cabinet parts, with very few tools. How did we do it?
