Proposed Minutes of the October 2017 Meeting
by Richard Liptzin - Secretary

The general meeting on the L.I.-Nassau Chapter PTG was held on October 10, 2017.

The members went on a field trip to Faust Harrison Pianos in Manhattan. Five members were present, as well as attendees from other chapters.

Mario Igrec, the chief piano technician at Faust Harrison, presented a lecture and discussion about the Fazioli piano. Fazioli started in '82-'83 and now produce about 160 pianos a year. Mario discussed voicing, action parts and special craftmanship done only by Fazioli. We then saw a video which took us through the factory and how their pianos are created. For those members who were not present, just hearing the sound of these fine pianos was worth the trip to Manhattan. As an added bonus, we saw a one of a kind Fazioli piano valued at $480,000 in the showroom. You had to be there to see it.

In closing, the members had a grand time and all enjoyed the field trip.
note- to John, if you read this everyone will be looking for a "fourth pedal" for you. It must be out there somewhere....
