The General Meeting

The general meeting for this month will be held on Tuesday, October 9 starting at 7 p.m. at:

Frank and Camille's Keyboard Center
371 Old Country Road
Carle Place, New York
(516) 333-2811

This month's technical class will be:

Rawson Key-Leveling Tabs / A New Way to Level Keys
A Technical Presented by Christopher R. Rawson, C.P.T., R.P.T.

Are you tired of spending hours removing keys and slitting punchings, pulling the action in and out, and then doing it all over again when the punchings settle? Have you turned away clients because proper action regulation that includes key-leveling didn't fit into their budget? Do you feel clip on lead weights are slowing you down? Chris Rawson, RPT, a graduate of The University of Western Ontario Piano Technology Program will present a technical, beginning with a discussion of 20 previous patents to level keys, along with pros & cons of those systems, and concluding with an in-piano demonstration of his new key-leveling system. Guild members will be invited to join in the demonstration.

The Executive Committee will meet prior to the general meeting at 5 p.m. at the Olive Garden Restaurant, 1120 Old Country Road, Westbury, diagonally across the street from Frank and Camille's.

Our Congratulations

The chapter would like to congratulate our treasurer Paul Keogler and his wife Lisa on the birth of their son Justin on September 20.

A reminder: meetings will now begin and end promptly. Frank and Camille's now closes at 8:30 p.m.
