The instructions included with a new fallboard (nameboard) decal recommend using a "burnishing tool" to make the dry decal transfer. I have found that a wooden wallpaper seam roller, usually about one-inch wide, is the ideal tool for this procedure. It is easy to maintain a constant, even pressure, and fully contact the complete application area. First, carefully measure the fallboard to center the decal. Mark the position of the corners of the mounting paper on the fallboard to indicate the exact position; a light chalk mark works well on a traditional finish and is easily removed, while a white china marking pencil is best for polyester/high gloss finishes. Secure the mounting paper in its proper position with a small piece of masking tape in each corner. Apply a firm downward pressure with the roller across the entire surface of the decal paper, making sure that it does not move or shift during this motion. Remove the backing paper according to the directions, and then apply the roller over the paper once again as instructed to affix the decal.

When changing billings butt flanges, usually when you tighten the screw, the flange moves over, causing it to make contact with the inside of the butt. This extra friction causes the butt to hang up or stick. The solution is to go to the front, under the butt, put a screwdriver on the bottom side of the flange, and tap it until it is centered. If the action is in a vertical position, the hammer should fall right down when you tap it. Once you get good at it, a whole set takes only 15 minutes. Be sure your screwdriver isn't pressing on other action parts, because it can easily break something.
