The General Meeting

The general meeting for this month will be held on Tuesday, September 9 starting at 7 p.m. at:

Frank and Camille's Keyboard Center
371 Old Country Road
Carle Place, New York
(516) 333-2811

Our technical class will be a focused round table discussion on the accuracy or inaccuracy of the information our clients are hearing from others in the field (i.e. salespeople, re-builders, manufacturers etc.) and how to deal with this in a professional manner.

Also, the NE Regional VP Chris Solliday will be giving our October technical. He has offered any one of the four topics shown on the right, and we will discuss our preference at this month's meeting.

The Executive Committee will meet prior to the general meeting at 5 p.m. at the Olive Garden Restaurant, 1120 Old Country Road, Westbury, diagonally across the street from Frank and Camille's.

Chris Solliday's Choices for Next Month's Meeting:

How to Get and Keep Institutional Contracts This class shows you how to win multiple piano college, university, school district and large church accounts. This can be a rewarding part of your business if approached correctly or a large pain in the neck if done the usual way. Learn the ins and outs of this process from a 30 year veteran of multiple institutional accounts.

Computer Assisted Customized Aural Tunings Using the SAT III The Sanderson Accu-Tuner III makes it easier to create customized tunings "on the fly" using the DOB (Double Octave Beat) Control. Learn to compensate for a scale design's inharmonicity and "gaps" more easily and accurately than ever before.
Working Your Plan Some More Chris has operated a successful piano service business for over 30 years. Organizational techniques, sub-contracting, service calls, project management, low-tech and high-tech approaches, sales tips, marketing to the customer through the use of Guild literature, motivational exercises, and an introduction to the piano service business software application ExecuKey are some of the highlights covered in this class designed to make your business more profitable.
Using Guild Marketing Tools Chris has been the Chairperson of the PTG Marketing Committee and will discuss the most effective ways to utilize PTG brochures and other literature to educate your customers. Ways the Business Resource Guide can be used to build your business will also be covered.
