Dinner Party

This month's meeting will be our year-end dinner party. Please join us for a grand fiesta to be held on Tuesday evening June 11, 2019 at 7 p.m. at:

Escorza's Mexican Restaurant
2715 Hempstead Turnpike
Levittown, New York 11756
(516) 597-5600
map and directions

The full course dinner is $48 per person, with a cash bar. We hope everyone will plan to attend.

RSVP is essential, so that we can provide the restaurant with an accurate head-count for seating arrangements. Please, please, please respond to Michael Slavin at slavinpiano@aol.com or (516) 781-8888 as soon as possible. Thank you. (The restaurant requests a guaranteed number of guests, so we are hoping for a large attendance).

Tech Tip
by Michael Slavin, RPT

When a sticky key, clicking noise, or other mechanical problem is present in a grand action specifically at the "breaks" for the action brackets, before searching for numerous causes and solutions, the first place to look is for a loose bottom nut on the threaded posts which support the key rails and hammer rest rails. Often these nuts will drop down and wedge between the keys, or press on the wippen flanges, causing binding, depressed keys, and other issues.
