Technical given by Larry LeMasters. Larry has a piano service located in Melville. Meeting was called to order at 7pm by president Mike Slavin. Larry showed us how to repair hammer felt that detached from hammer moulding - use a dremel drill and make a fine hole and insert screw. A dental tool was used to push felt to moulding and then drilled and insert screw. This method won't work on grand pianos - it will make the hammer too heavy. Another trick to make grand hammers heavier is to put metal clips on shanks.

Larry showed us some special tools he made. He also demonstrated special voicing methods.
