March 11 meeting of Piano Technicians Guild. Eight members attended. Meeting started at 7:05 p.m. The technical was presented by Frank Davis of Long Island Piano Company.

Frank's technical was about moving pianos. He stressed to use your legs to move a piano, not your back. Frank gave hints about moving pianos and demonstrated the use of dollies and rollers. He discussed many tricks to avoid scratching pianos and floors. Next Frank demonstrated how to use a dolly on an upright. He moved a piano all by himself. Always check that the lid, music desk, and other parts of the piano are secure before moving. Frank gave us a formula to figure out the weight of different pianos.
