Everyone is invited to meet at 5 p.m. at Dancing Ivories, to join the Executive Committee for dinner at a local restaurant prior to the meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The May meeting of the Long Island - Nassau Chapter will be held on Thursday, May 10 instead of our usual Tuesday night, to accommodate our guest speaker's schedule.

This month's "technical" will be an auction of all the tools, parts, and other piano and shop related equipment from the collection of our dearly departed member Lenny Genovese. All proceeds from the sale will be given to Lenny's wife, Dolores. Anyone with piano equipment of their own are invited to bring it to the meeting, and participate in the auction as well.

Whenever providing piano service for a commercial establishment, and payment is not being received at the time of the service call, be certain to obtain the legal name of the business as indicated on all licenses and the New York State Sales Tax Certificate of Authority (which must be visibly posted). The operating name of a business is most often not the same, and without the proper legal identity and address, there is no legal recourse in court in the case of non-payment

Ballots for the election of chapter officers for the year 2012-2013 have been sent to all members by e-mail. All ballots must be returned by the general meeting on Thursday, May 10. If any member has not received their ballot, please contact me at:
