This month's technical will be a tour of the Cavalieri factory. Since its founding in 1984, Claudio Grottoli has used a careful blend of traditional and modern industrial techniques to become a leader in the application of polyester and polyurethane and piano finishes. We will follow the refinishing process from the initial preparation through final polishing, observing the state-of-the-art pressurized, waterfall spray booth (temparature controlled, anti-static, dust and humidity-free), the priming, and multiple sanding and polishing procedures, to achieve a perfect surface. A variety of finishes, stains, and colors will be presented, in both satin and high-gloss finishes. This is a meeting you will not want to miss.
