The previous general meeting was our annual Holiday Party, held on Tuesday evening December 2, 2008, at The Inn at New Hyde Park. Below we have the November minutes, which were not available for the December newsletter.
Proposed Minutes of the November Meeting
by Marty Dinerstein - Secretary

The November meeting of Nassau PTG was held on November 11, 2008 at Frank & Camille Piano Center in Carle Place, NY. The meeting started at 7 p.m. Eight members and three guests attended. Our minutes were read and accepted and the treasurer's report was accepted.

New Business: Our dinner party will be at the New Hyde Park Inn on Jericho Turnpike at 7 p.m. Decemeber 2. The cost is $45 each. Contact Paul Keogler to send money. The business meeting ended at 7:20 p.m.

Technical: Our technical was by Mike Slavin. He showed us some of the tools he carries with him to a job. Some examples are: magnets on strings for screw strorage, and on wrist for work under the piano. Also an ammunition can for glue storage. Some more unusual ones are CA and a round head bolt for missing jack tender; surgical tools for holding new strings on bridge pins, right angle forceps for installing split punchings and wine corks for felt replacement and buzzing ribs. The technical meeting ended at 8:30 pm. We thank Frank and Camille's Piano Center for use of their store.
