At the same time Kent Webb (800 366-1853 ext 3181) will be taking on new assignments as Manager of Technical Services and Support that includes working with manufacturing to maximize the Selection Room capabilities and better serve the C&A piano bank replacement program, seek to expand our educational resources for our highly acclaimed C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy, participate in PTG activities, effectively and efficiently facilitate and oversee Boston and Essex inventory, increase our on-site Dealer Technical Programs where valuable feedback about our products and how they are displayed can be communicated back to both marketing and manufacturing, support our Institutional initiatives with on-site visits to current, new and future All Steinway Schools and insure the proper documentation of all existing and future Technical seminars and programs. Kent will also work with Bill Youse on current and future Internet, Intranet, Extranet sites, communications and publications to the technical communities. He will also actively participate in our Boston and Essex worldwide programs.

Chad Frye has taken the position of Parts Department Manager. Chad started in the piano business as a technician in 1996. His training includes the Piano Technology Program at Western Iowa Tech, The Aspen Music Festival, and a one-year apprenticeship at the University of Iowa School of Music with West Music in Coralville, IA. In addition to operating a private piano service business in the Pittsburgh area, Chad worked as Director of Education for Trombino Music, our Steinway dealer in the Pittsburgh area. In early 2004 Chad assumed the position of National Service Manager for Weber Piano until their closure. His responsibilities included technical and warranty assistance and management of the Parts Department. He joined Steinway & Sons as a field technician in NJ and later moved to Steinway Hall and is a Registered Piano Technician with the PTG. Chad will handle to management and daily operations of the Steinway & Sons Parts Department.
